Information for participants

Thank-you for your interest in this study. Your participation will help ensure that the study is rich and full, and that it is relevant those working ‘at the coalface’ in Honduras.

Benefits for participants

While a PhD research budget does not allow for any monetary benefits from participation in the study, participants will benefit it other ways. In particular you may have:

  • a chance to reflect on the projecthonduras.com network and how it contributes to development in Honduras and to your projects and/or organization
  • the opportunity to contribute to documenting the history of projecthonduras.com and possibly also to help build on it’s strengths for the future

How you can participate

  • Tell me your stories about projecthonduras.com, in an interview, via email, by leaving a comment on this website or by talking to me at a conference.
  • Can I visit your project or office….?
  • Bookmark and re-visit this website, or subscribe to updates as there may be other opportunities later!

Participants Rights

You are under no obligation to accept this invitation. If you decide to participate, you have the right to:

  • decline to answer any particular question;
  • withdraw from the study at any time;
  • ask any questions about the study at any time during participation;
  • provide information on the under-standing that your name will not be used unless you give permission;
  • be given access to a summary of the project findings when it is concluded.
  • ask for the audio/video tape to be turned off at any time.

Use of the Information

Information gathered in the course of this research will primarily be used in the completion of a PhD thesis/ dissertation, although some material may be used in future conference presentations and academic papers.

A summary of the study and some relevant and non-identifiable data may be made available to projcthonduras.com at the completion of the study. Please contact the researcher if you have any questions about this.

A printable PDF research information sheet, which outlines this information is available here. Please note it is A4 sized, and designed to be tri-folded, brochure style. Please let me know if you would prefer to have a sheet emailed to you in plain text or as a simple word document.

This project has been evaluated by peer review and judged to be low risk. Consequently, it has not been reviewed by one of the University’s Human Ethics Committees. The researcher is responsible for the ethical conduct of this research.
